We threw Sam a ladybug birthday party for her second birthday this year, with Sam's close friends and family in attendance. It was a fantastic day with cake, presents, sand-boxing, chasing Thomas the Tank Engine, chili eating and finally some spooky trick-or-treating.
I think birthdays allow parents to look back and appreciate all the things that have happened in the past year. Sam has changed so much since her last birthday. She was much more aware of what was going on this year, and got the hang of opening presents right off the bat. After the party, for days, we heard all about each of the kids that sat at the table with her, and how much fun she had. What a crazy year its been.
